So, what exactly is an emotional trigger? An emotional trigger is anything, including memories, experiences, or events, that sparks an intense emotional reaction, regardless of your current mood.
However, being impacted by our spouse’s sinful triggering event doesn’t give us the right to indulge in our own sinful response. We want our marriages to be better, but instead, our triggers often leave us bitter or broken.
